Pixie was actually the first goat brought to Harbor Acres in 2018 and still hasn't provided any kids or milk for the farm! Pixie's discerning taste in men has her holding out for two years running. Perhaps in 2020 she will find a suitable man.
Pixie was originally brought to the family as a 4H show goat for Kayla along with Kenny as a companion. She is a loving aunt to all of the kids we produce on the farm and looks forward to greeting you at the gate when you come out to see her. She also enjoys pulling on the turkey's tails when they decide to roost on the gate at night...still a kid at heart playing practical jokes.
Harbor Acres believes nature provides in her own time. Sometimes the variables just don't line up and that is alright. Could we get rid of a goat that won't breed to increase overall profits? Absolutely. What our animals provide is so much more than a stable income. They are part of the family and part of what makes the world so amazing.
